AudiAnnotate User Documentation
I wrote documentation for the application AudiAnnotate, which exists to add annotations/metadata to audiovisual materials using the IIIF metadata standard.
I created the documentation on GitHub using markdown. Working on this documentation allowed me to think about the best ways to help users understand how to use our software if they had never seen it before.

Using Tableau for Collections as Data at the Harry Ransom Center
This is a Tableau Dashboard I made in a class on Data Storytelling at UT Austin. I used publicly available data and consulted with the Harry Ransom Center’s Digital Team to create a dashboard that would be useful for them to understand collections better, and move forward with focused initiatives for their growing sound collections.

Audiovisual Preservation and Description
In a class on Advanced Audiovisual Preservation, I digitized and wrote descriptive metadata for a collection of reel-to-reel tapes. I digitized and described the Patrick B. Mullen collection, a collection of 24 polyester, 7 inch reel-to-reel audio tapes from the Dolph-Briscoe Center for American History archive, which are part of their University of Texas Folklore Collection

Dublin Core Metadata Application Profile
In a course on taxonomy and ontology design, I used oXygen software to create application profiles for implementation in library and archival settings. I created profiles for Dublin Core, MODS , VRA, METS, and RDF.
This example is a AP for Dublin Core, focused on creating a schema that could be implemented to better describe and organize podcasts.

Metadata Object Description Schema (MODS) Application Profile
In a course on taxonomy and ontology design, I used oXygen software to create application profiles for implementation in library and archival settings. I created profiles for Dublin Core, MODS , VRA, METS, and RDF.
This project is an example AP for MODS, focused on creating a schema that could be implemented to better describe and organize sound recordings, specifically oral histories and spoken word recordings, at cultural heritage institutions.
-
Resource Description Framework (RDF) Application Profile
In a course on taxonomy and ontology design, I used oXygen software to create application profiles for implementation in library and archival settings. I created profiles for Dublin Core, MODS , VRA, METS, and RDF.
This is an example of a linked data application profile based in RDF. I created a schema for using this linked data to organize confessional poets and their relationships.

Expanding Creatorship: Archival Affect and Networked Creation
This publication is my master’s report, which I wrote in fulfillment of my MSIS and MA.
Abstract: Limitations of creatorship alongside archival power and lingering notions of neutrality obscure the nuanced, creative, and affective contributions of the archivist, whose decisions influence the way collections come to exist as sources of information. I argue that the archivist’s creative contributions are recognized through an understanding of their affective experiences.

Video: How to Annotate Audio Recordings Using Audacity for AudiAnnotate
I made this video while working for AudiAnnotate. This video shares how to use the open-source application, Audacity, to annotate audio recordings.

Memory Postmortem Digital Project
This project, “Memory Postmortem” is a creative digital project I built on GitHub to think about the complexities and nuances of death and grief in the digital age, where many of our interactions are mediated by social media.
